I don’t know if the question is even relevant in any way. Jonna is doing all the heavy lifting here. All I need to do is push the button on top of the camera.Easy.
Family portraits

Jonna came in for some portraits some time ago. (I know, I know its been ages since the shoot.) She brought her mother with her and asked if I could do some portraits of her as well. Its almost overwhelming to do something special when you get the change and I think this was one of those occasions.
Couple of Jonna’s pics turned out to be really cool but I’ve been too lazy in front of the screen and haven’t got them done.. yet.
Last one of Hanna
Last frame of Hanna. We shot plenty of pictures (I’d imagine about 500) but the 5 picture edit is more than enouhg to show the best of the shoot.
The biggest challenge is usually picking out the 5-8 best frames of the shoot. B/W or color is not so much an issue because the way I do b/w takes less than a minute.
Big thanks to everyone involved!
Camilla Pönkkä for awsome makeup and hair. Hanna for modeling and Jessica for assisting.
Hanna in studio
Model: Hanna Kyyrö
Makeup and hair: Camilla Pönkkä
Assistant: Jessica Häyhä
This is firts in the series of hopefully many collaborations with makeup artist Camilla Pönkkä. She called me up and asked if I wanted to shoot any projects with her? Hell yes! Just the thing I’ve been missing is someone to work with.
I’ve almost forgot how cool it is to do collaboration shoots with even a slighty bigger crew than just me and the model. One thing I miss about having my truly own studio space is music! Sure I can build the studio into any free space but having proper stereo system pumping out music to go with the shoot.. This time around it was silence or Jessica’s cellphone beeping something out. Not the same but will do for now..
Actually Hanna was not suppose to be our model at all but she came because we had a small gap in the shoot schedule so I told Jessica to bring someone to model for her while I try to teach her the basic “in studio camera work and lighting.” The model we were suppose to shoot never showed up but Hanna was cool about it and stepped up for the whole shoot. (BTW I am a horrible teacher so Jessica has no hope of learning anything by my teaching but don’t tell her that. I need a assistant.)
Big thanks to all involved! Camilla for the hard! Jessica for putting up with my idiotic istructions and to Hanna for modeling!
Its the end of the year and I am heading to cottage to celebrate the new years! I ought to do a bigger blogpost looking back on the year 2011 but most likely it will never happen.
