Summer is over, lets lift the boats and crawl in to the bed.

I have always been a summer kid and hated the winters. Nothing has changed really in the last ten years. As a kid I always thought:  “when I am twenty five, with a cool job the fall woun’t bug me so much and I’ll look forward to them.” What was I thinking? Dumbass!

Its only 31st of august and all I can think of photographywise is the old transform video by Arias. Not only a photographywise, but life in general. I feel like shit.

We celebrated Anttis birthday in Kouvola on saturday. It was fun, laidback kind of a event. People talking about wise things so I figured its better for me to shut up. I had a intresting chat with an old classmate on the way back. Even though bouncy and incompelete in a way the 45 minute talk gave me a lot.  All the best and thanks to Tuulis.

On the bright side of things Laura and Tuomas got engaged. Crongrats! I’ll offer a free engament session photoshoot for you if you want.

Postprosessing was a dream. Nothing fancy, or tricky. Closer you get with the lights the easier it is to finnish in the photoshop. Honestly these could have been straight out of the camera and you wouldn’t even notice.

Im falling more and more in love with Lasolite hotshoe ezybox (60×60.)  Virtually no spill at all and more control compared to shoot through umberella. Speaking of umberellas I broke my third.. Slightest breeze on wind and they go over faster than volvo ocean race sailboat. Even if the stand is only on knee height the umbrellas neck will brake. Not going to happen with the ezybox cause there is no shaft.

Once again I have to thank people involved. Tanja of course for modeling, hope you liked the pics and the experience wasn’t traumatizing. And  thanks to Jutta for assisting and keeping our model comfortable when I was too busy running around the roof like a headless chicken.

Tanjas  mom was first worried about what kind of pics I had in mind. The worrie is not to be overlooked! Specialy with a underaged models. There are lots of GWC’s (guys with cameras) out there, whos intrest is not in the photography. That in mind I have tried to build a certain reputation and a level of photography.

The caption makes no friking sence, but thats okay becaus it almost one am.

Todays shoot was more than wonderfull in many ways. But one thing worth mentioning is the timeline in which it happend. We were enjoying our lives in the infamous pub jaakko. Must have a been a pretty dull conversation because my eyes trarted to stray. Tanja was sitting in the next table looking  utterly bored just like me and true to my idiotic way of logic I thought: “if she really that bored, se will actualy listten for a second..”

My luck was she had heard about me before through mutual friends, otherwise I would not be writing this post..

All this happend six months or so ago I quess. To be honest I haven’t got a clue. The pub is my second home, its kind of hard to isolate the day when I was(n’t) there. Usualy if I speak to someone about shooting and it doesn’t happen the nex week it woun’t happen at all. It just how it goes, and its fine. Just makes you appreciate more when someone does not forget..

Im too sleepy to write. More photos tomorrow, but I have to show one..

Haven’t done too many selfportraits over the years.  Played with a ezybox, 50mm 1.8 and shallow depth of field. No mirrors were involded, Im not that yong anymore..
