Summer is over

Summer is over, lets lift the boats and crawl in to the bed.

I have always been a summer kid and hated the winters. Nothing has changed really in the last ten years. As a kid I always thought:  “when I am twenty five, with a cool job the fall woun’t bug me so much and I’ll look forward to them.” What was I thinking? Dumbass!

Its only 31st of august and all I can think of photographywise is the old transform video by Arias. Not only a photographywise, but life in general. I feel like shit.

We celebrated Anttis birthday in Kouvola on saturday. It was fun, laidback kind of a event. People talking about wise things so I figured its better for me to shut up. I had a intresting chat with an old classmate on the way back. Even though bouncy and incompelete in a way the 45 minute talk gave me a lot.  All the best and thanks to Tuulis.

First yellow leafs starts to appear, great.

On the bright side of things Laura and Tuomas got engaged. Crongrats! I’ll offer a free engament session photoshoot for you if you want.

Yes, summer is over. A sure sign of fall being here is that my “summer” vacation just started. Fall is really not that bad, all the arctic birds migrating southward, the shades of yellow and red in trees and other plants, dark stormy clouds turned red or purple by the setting sun… there is loads of stuff to photograph out there. Grab one of your models and head out. Go create a series of stormy, rainy day pictures. Put that dark gloomy feeling in your pictures and name the series something like: “the essence of fall”.

Heh.. want to borrow your hide for me? I’ll stay in the hide, comfy shelter from the wind and the rain. Model and the assistants on the outside feeling the breeze..

Not such a crazy idea at all… seriously, you could really get something out of a set like that. You know where the hide is, feel free to use it any time you like.

Actualy, I might be moving the hide tomorrow, due west of where it is at the moment, maybe a few hundred meters or so. I´ll explain the reason for the move at the meeting.
