There are lots of shooters still who dont think about post processing at all. They are mentaly shooting kodakchrome althou never touched a film camera. Learn your photoshop or sell the gear and forget about ever being a pro.
Postprocessing does not have to be hevy, small things make the difference that counts.
Firt frame is straight out of lightroom, second went through photoshop. Five layers, less than fifteen minutes and chatting in the messenger at the same time..

Good point. I don’t really think that much about post-process. I do a few small things every time, but not much. Maybe it would be time to start thinking about that side of photography a bit more.
Don’t worry about it too much thou. Emphasis here was on the fellows who shoot portrature and fashion. Two genres that usualy require more spesific post processing and more regional adjustments.
All my street, landscape and “wildlife” (dog ;D) pictures dont get highpass sharpenings or gradient maps.. Just some contrast and saturation in Lightroom. Software thats too damn easy not to use. I highly recomend it for anyone who wants to go quick ‘n’ easy on their post processing, but want maintain the look.
Since you know about my secret purchase and some of my planned ones, you may understand why I’m thinking a bit more in the line of portaits… as for my nature pics, I think in some cases more processing might work well, if I could do it “the right way”. Natural looking, but yet with a bit more kick than what comes straight out of the camera.
