Its been a while since I’ve taken black and white portraits. Now I’ve done it twice..

“Lost and found, but mostly lost” is a nice way to describe my photography. Sadly enough today it was lost in a very weird way. Its very hard to put in words, its just a feeling a photog has when shooting..

Managed to pull out this one anyway.Rest of the set is on the way. Thanks to simona and masha for beign such a laugh, could not have more fun with a camera than with them..

Lighting, lighting.. I haven’t been too steady in my lighting. There are o fcourse some basics I go back to but otherwise I try to be openminded.  “Stuck” ,”been there”,” done that” are bad thoughts.. and they are in my head right now…Shit! Any suggestions?

Friday night turned out to very laid back and easy going,nothing to do and it felt like sunday. Saturday was complite opposite! New faces, new things, new tricks and moves.. Just great!

Recently I walked up to this group of exchange students at my livingroom (pub jaakko.) Trying to appear sober as possible and simply told them I want to take pictures of anyone who says yes.  Finnish people aren’t usualy thrilled about being photosubjects , but luckily this is only our own bad habbit. Masha was not even in the growd at the time, but she emailed me and we arranged a photosession. She was amazing poser and my job was just to hold the camera still..

After the saturdays photosession I had a danceclass! Thats right, me dancing! I was like asphalt roller, rolling on my belly on the floor. Its was dangerous, but we brave ones survived it with minor bruses. The brave ones equals eight out of a twnty  something invited..

Girls at dancestudio move arranged this for as.  As most of my models are dancers I got invited. Last time I was too hangover, but nothing was in my way this time . ..And you know.. Fuck Michael Jackson, I’m the new king of moonwalk! (yeah right) Afterparty was something to dance for and at the morning  I had pain in my muscles that I did not know excisted. It was fun and a eye opening event. Appreciation for their skills went through the roof. I can play prettymuch any ballgame out there, but I can’t “hit with my chest..” By the way their christmas show is worth seeing! Its usualy in the middle of december. Been there, twice and enjoyed it..

Tomorrow I’ll have someone new infront of my lens. Even if the flash settings and camera control is in  my spine I still need to warm up for a shoot. Just like the first shots of every shoot are just to warm up. It goes for models and photogs just the same, rarely the first image is a keeper.

Joonas was a wellcome change of pace, because fellows are different to shoot than girls. Not in a bad way, but just different and harder to get infront of the lens.

Is it illegal to marry a bar? Well spent thursday evening.
