Some words from the kings mouth.  Okay maybe shooting floor level at a junior basketball game is not exactly whats said above.  I tried to find something intresting to shoot during the game and found myself shooting blind just holding the camera down on the floor and hitting the shutter. Next time I have to crawl on my belly to shoot wayyy down low.

Other thing I aimed for were portraits. Moments when actualy nothing is happening but with a framing Id get a intresting closeups of the players.

The shot is way too funny not to show. We were at the a bar after Boys danceclass months ago and I was talking to Joonas about.. something. I have no idea what Im talking about, but it must be “funny..”  Notice the D200 on the table..  Im thinking of making pocket flask out its battery grip when it dies. It would be so cool to shoot a pic and take a shot out of the camera.

This social media stuff starts to pay the off! I wish it paid the bills thou, would be kinda cool to have Facebook paying the phone bills. But more of this after the weekend.

Here is couple of pics I shot of  Salvatore who Id like to call ‘the italian bon jovi.’ I was sure that John did a kakaoke gig at the Soolo when I first heard Salvatore sing living on prayer. Great guy in general too, always smiling, calm and relaxed. I feel like a monkey on a streroids compared to him..

The catch in the session was hard light. The shadows are our friends but its not always available. Thus I thought its better to practice then to shit on my pants when the its the real deal. So off we went to the park with Antti, reflector, ezybox and couple of SBs. Thanks to Antti for assisting, and to Salvatore for being so patient. He did not complain at all, althou the bright sun hurt his eyes and the frost bit his toes..

Youtube – the salvation of the dull days! The photography videos online are huge souce of inspisration and education for me. Sure I could spend my evenings watching Heros or something on TV but the photography has pretty much taken over my whole life…

Yesterday I came across a interview clips with the legends like Walter Iooss and Albert Watson and I could not stop. Played them back over and over again hanging on every word..
