The aim of the day was to shoot a modeling portfolio for Janni and try not to do whole series of fitness pictures. Which is difficult when it would be so natural just to flip to fitness. BTW Janni is compiting in miss fitness 2010. Break a leg!
She was a dream to work with and Im pretty sure we will work again. It was cold, raining, she was on a diet, I sat her on cold stone s, Maiju splashed water on her for, Janne was janne, but I did not hear her complaingin at all. And no, she is nothing like the color picture would lead you to believe. I have to say that her bicep made me wheep. Ought to go the gym with Oltsa myself.
Towards the night the photogs were not on a “professional mode” anymore but she hang tough and performed like a champ.
The locations in the pictures are worth mentioning also. The color one is shot on Maijus attic but the black and white is her living slash entryway.
These pictures are complitely different from the images on yesterdays post. I knew exactly what to do I want to do to them on postprocessing.
Jannis shot above is done in our “Porvoo studio.”
Martikas picture is done in a bar we stumbled on when trying to find a location with a roof. It started raining and we had to quit shooting on the first location. The bar manager was kind enough to let us shoot and I thanked her with ordering the most expencive (and only decent) ale on the list.
Fall is here. Frankly Im not a fan of the darker and colder part of the year. Gotta love the colors thou.
I teamed up with Janne, Maiju, Martika and ‘James’ to shoot a modeling portfolio for Janni, some pictures for Martika and who ever came along.
Certainly a day worth to remember, again. Its always special to work with larger crew. The energy, the vibe is so different than working on my own just with a model.
One of the coolest things in a while is the video shot by Janne with his iPhone. I’ve tried to done similar videos with the Lumix point and shoot but windows movie maker crashes when ever I try to edit .mov files. And to be honest I really don’t care that much for video to try to fix the problems with it.
If you know a freeware program that knows how to edit the .movs please let me know. And ‘virtual dub’-bullshit-too difficult for no-nerd to use programs.
I reagard my self mostly a people photographer. I don’t really care how they are included in the picture but there has to a person to communicate with.
During the weddings the portraits and formals come very easy for me but the ‘action pictures’ are a bit of a strugle. I have to think where to shoot, what to include thus the picuters show what is happening and who are doing what.
During a slower part of the day I have a tendency to slip onto portrature. Its ok to certain point. Specialy when you get something like above.
