The last picture of the day.

During the summer I changed my ‘fully served’ Cactus v4 triggers to bit more professional Skyports. Here is why. The picture above would not have happened with the Cactus v4 set.

The glorious life of a photo assistant. There is an assistant in the toilet back right holding a flash to fill the back of the corridor.  No need to adjust stands,  flags and flash brackets. Just told Aija where to point the flash and how to flag it the her right  hand so it does not make a hotspot on the door.

When scoutting locations I usualy try to find variability in the backgrounds. In a good spot you can shoot something “rock” turn around and shoot “soft.”

The two pictures below taken in Halla- Kotka are shot on the same footholds. We just switched places.

I’ve been wondering about modeling. Its cruel isn’t it.

It sounds so easy. Just stand there when they make a pretty picture of you.  But then the reality hits, they screwed you over and left you there standing in the cold, wearing high heels in the snow and ice! Breeze has taken the sensation from you feet a long time ago. Have to keep smiling even if the rain is washing a way the make up.  And the bad photographer woun’t even give you decent instructions how to pose…

And still somehow, they don’t loose it. Evertyhing is perfect when the shutter goes klick..
